Debt Relief Orders are granted by an Official Receiver to help insolvent individuals become debt free after just 1 year.
What is a Debt Relief Order (DRO)?
If you have less than £15,000 of unsecured debts and have a low income, a Debt Relief Order could be the right debt solution for you.
It usually lasts for 1 year and during that time, none of the people you owe money to will be able to take action against you to get their money back. At the end of the year, you'll be free of all the debts listed in the order.
A Debt Relief Order is granted by the Insolvency Service and managed by approved mediators.
